One of the most common causes of injury in pickleball is poor movement. That’s why I emphasize efficient, safe footwork in every lesson. When you know how to move properly, you’ll play better and stay injury-free.
That's why we play classic, soft, old-school pickleball with lots of dinks, different strategies, and without unnecessary bangs and speed-ups. We don’t want to get hurt or fall down for no reason. We just want to have fun, get some exercise, laugh, and enjoy our time on the court. We don’t want to be hit with the ball in the face or body.
I teach people to play pickleball from zero to hero. After my course, you'll be able to play pickleball on any public court. I will go with you and help adjust your game and explain how public pickleball rules work.
See you on the court, and let’s travel together!
A Brief History of the Game
Though pickleball has become a household name in the last several years, the game was actually created in the 1960s on Bainbridge Island near Seattle, WA by friends looking for something to do. Using a badminton court and ping-pong paddles, Washington Congressman Joel Pritchard and friend, Bill Bell, unknowingly sparked a sport that would captivate millions of players worldwide years later.
